Broadview helps to kit out mobile RNLI lifeguard units

Broadview, a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of blinds, awnings and print and sign solutions, has provided interior shading and signage for eleven of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s mobile lifeguard units to date in advance of the 2011 beach lifeguard season.

The blinds are printed with emergency information for members of the public, highlighting the number to call for help after 6pm when the lifeguards are no longer on duty. They also have a solar protective coating (SPC) to ensure that internal heat and solar glare are reduced. Additionally, a thin, transparent, non-reflective window film has also been applied to the interior of each polycarbonate window in the mobile lifeguard units which blocks 99% of UV rays entering through the windows.

This project has brought together the Broadview blinds and signage businesses to offer the RNLI a complete ‘one-stop-shop’ service, which includes the design and installation of bespoke roller blinds, delivery of window film and exterior graphics.

Mark Pratt, managing director at Broadview, adds: “This is a fantastic project for us to work on and we welcomed the opportunity to assist in kitting out these mobile units which provide a facility for the lifeguards who provide an extremely worthwhile service.”
